Projects
I value teamwork and find meaning in co-creating knowledge.
Below are some projects I am currently working on.
It has been 20 years since self-compassion first appeared in the scientific literature. While there is no doubt that self-compassion is an important construct with immense clinical utility, there has yet to be a systematic endeavor to assess the evolution of this research topic. Stepping back to reflect on the progress of self-compassion research by utilizing a text-mining approach can concisely and effectively offer insights into research endeavors and directions for future studies. Against this larger backdrop, the findings from this project provide an opportunity for researchers to critically assess which further research questions merit pursuit (e.g., what topics are discussed, how each topic relates, and what topics need more exploration), thereby advancing the self-compassion literature in a fruitful manner. This project aims to utilize text mining and trend analysis to assess the evolution of self-compassion research.
